Since we launched the first ever Moonboon Motor, our cradle bouncers have brought more and better sleep to babies and their families, and our Motor Connect takes better sleep to a new level. It quietly and gently rocks your baby to sleep and is designed to make the best baby sleep even easier for you, through its smart functionalities.

With the ability to start and use the motor touch-free through our app, you can either set both the rocking speed and the operation time as you prefer, or benefit from our sleep programs that have been designed by sleep experts with your baby’s best sleep in mind.

The sleep universe of our app includes three sleep programs of different lengths – a short nap, a long nap and nighttime – that are developed to follow the biologically normal sleep rhythm and provide your baby with the best sleep possible, making it feel calm, soothed and well-rested, whilst also freeing up time for you to get on with other things, or get some sleep yourself.

Designed, developed, and safety tested in Denmark, you can have peace of mind using this product. It can help your baby develop healthy sleep routines and bring sweet dreams to your whole household, so quietly that you can barely hear it.

The Moonboon App is available in both the App and Google Play Stores and compatible with devices running iOS 15.0 or Android 11, or newer versions of operating system.

For safety reasons, Moonboon's cradle bouncers are installed with a safety function that automatically stops the motor after 12 hours.

Choose the correct spring
The Moonboon Motor is designed for the cradle, baby hammock and twin baby hammock and is safety tested to support many more kilos than the weight of a child. Moonboon's springs are specially designed for the products and match the child's weight to achieve the correct sense of calmness and the highest safety. Always look for the spring load capacity, rather than the capacity of the motor.

The Moonboon app is designed to make the use of our products even easier, by bringing you the touch-free start function for our Motor Connect, sleep programmes designed by experts and a whole baby and children sleep universe right to your mobile phone, so you have more and better sleep for your baby and for you available, through a simple click on your phone.

Our app is available in both the App Store and Google Play Store.

The three sleep programmes that can be found in our apps sleep universe, that the Motor Connect is equipped with, follow and reflect your baby’s natural sleep cycle for more and better sleep. The variations in the intensity of rocking will ensure that the baby’s sensory nervous system does not get used to the rocking motion, so you can continue to enjoy the benefits of the motor.

Short nap:
The short nap programme lasts 30 minutes and starts with high intensity rocking for 10 minutes, goes down to medium for 15 minutes and ends with very gentle rocking for 5 minutes. This supports the child for a short nap or one sleep cycle, after which the child continues to sleep without rocking or wakes up naturally on their own.

Long nap:
The long nap programme lasts 2.5 hours in total. It starts with high intensity rocking for 15 minutes, goes down to medium for 10 minutes, then a very gentle rocking at a low level for 15 minutes, then goes up to medium intensity for 10 minutes. This pattern is repeated 3 times, and each pattern corresponds to a typical sleep cycle for a baby under 1-2 years old.

Night:
The night sleep programme runs for a full 5.5 hours. It starts with high intensity rocking for 20 minutes, goes down to medium for 30 minutes, then a very gentle low-level rocking for 30 minutes, then goes up to medium intensity for 30 minutes. This pattern is repeated 3 times and corresponds to a normal baby sleeping through the night with the need for assistance approximately every 2 hours.

However, you can of course also set the duration and speed of the rocking motion of the Motor yourself, so you have the most flexibility at all times.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CRADLE BOUNCER

The cradle bouncers from Moonboon keeps the cradle spring going by means of the discrete string that pulls the spring together. This feature provides the gentle soothing rocking – up and down – that helps your child find peace. 

Use the cradle bouncers from Moonboon during sleep and help your child find a gentle transition from one sleep cycle to the next to reduce unwanted awakenings. 

This will make your child more likely to only wake up when rested.

The cradle bouncers from Moonboon are a great help if you have a child who wants to be rocked. Having a motor is a must if you have a baby hammock, twin baby hammock or cradle. 

The Moonboon cradle bouncers free up time for you to take a break or do other things while your baby sleeps safely and soundly. It's the motor that keeps the soothing cradle going, and unlike your own arms, a cradle bouncer never gets tired. 

All cradle bouncers from Moonboon are designed and developed in Denmark and rigorously tested by Danish engineers and safety consultants. The result is a quality motor with comfortable movements that can help your baby sleep more and better. 

The main difference between our two cradle bouncers is in how you use it. Our Moonboon Original can be turned on and off, and adjusted, using the TIMER and TEMPO knobs on the front of the motor. 

When using our Motor Connect, you can easily turn it on and off and adjust it on your phone in the Moonboon App. 

In addition, the Motor Connect also has multiple sleep programs available to you in the app that automatically speed up and slow down the pace of the rocking to match your child's sleep rhythm and were designed by sleep experts.  

You can identify the version of your cradle bouncer based on the buttons/knobs it has.  

If the Timer and Tempo knobs on your motor are white and there is a Bluetooth button between the knobs, you have a Motor Connect.  

If the Timer and Tempo knobs on your motor are grey, you have a Motor Original. 

If the Timer and Tempo knobs on your motor are white and there is no Bluetooth button between them, then you have a Moonboon Motor 1.0.  

The cradle bouncers by Moonboon ensure gentle and safe movements, creating the best environment for your child to find peace, fall asleep and sleep better. 

The Moonboon Motor Original is intuitively designed so that anyone can use it without difficulty. The 'TIMER' button at the top is used to set the time period you want the cradle bouncer to rock, and it can be set from 5 minutes to an unlimited number of hours. The 'TEMPO' button at the bottom is used to adjust the cradle speed to your child's needs. 

If you have a Moonboon Motor Connect, then you can easily set the Timer and Tempo via the Moonboon App on your smartphone.  

We always recommend that you read the user manual before using your cradle bouncer. 

Both our Motor Original and Motor Connect are compatible with our baby hammock, cradle and twin hammock. 

What you are experiencing may be so-called "resonance" vibrations. These can occur when the spring bounces up and down like an accordion, due to the traction in it. These resonance oscillations depend on how the product is suspended, the weight of the child and the setting of the cradle bouncer - this is completely natural and has nothing to do with the motor, and more with the laws of physics and gravity. 

However, we understand that this can cause some concern if it wasn't there the day before. But we can assure you that resonance is not harmful and is completely safe for your child. If you do nothing, resonance will pass naturally as soon as your baby gains a little weight. 

In the meantime, you can try adjusting the plastic parts a little, as this can sometimes alleviate the vibrations, or you can also try adding a little extra weight to the sling until your baby gains some weight.

Several experts have participated in the design of the Moonboon products – engineers as well as professionals from the health authorities. Our primary concern has always been safety, and the maximum speed of the motor was set according to the recommendations of the experts.

To turn off your motor both the tempo and timer button need to be switched off by turning them to the left until you hear a clicking sound. Even though the lamp stops to light green when you have switched off one of the buttons, the motor is not turned off completely until both buttons have been switched off.
